THE MOON – A CELESTIAL PLAY OF PERSPECTIVE
Did you know that the Moon appears differently in the Northern and Southern hemispheres? Depending on geographic location, the view of the lunar phases is mirrored. While observers in the Northern hemisphere see the Moon’s north pole at the top, those in the Southern hemisphere see the south pole uppermost. It’s all a matter of perspective!
The lunar phases themselves (new moon, full moon, etc.), however, remain identical.
You can find another case variant with the new moon phase display here.

CLASSICA K 100 II M
A DIAL THAT MAKES DIFFERENCES VISIBLE
The new two-part dial of the Classica K100 II M takes up this fascinating effect. The moon-phase display is elegantly marked with “N” and “S” and complemented by arrows indicating the direction of motion. Two hand-painted moon discs show the corresponding moon phases in detail within the cut-outs of the dial.
The calendar display has also been given a stylish facelift: the day and date indications now appear in precisely crafted cut-outs in the front dial, revealing the second, deeper section with the displays.
The previously used Roman numerals have been replaced by clean, modern Arabic numerals – a contemporary detail that subtly evolves the character of the clock. The Classica K100 II M is available in two modern dial versions: either black with polished steel hands, or a light anodized finish with elegant blued steel hands.
Proven mechanics in a new aesthetic
Behind the dial, the reliable calendar movement continues to operate with an impressive power reserve of one month. It reflects the craftsmanship, keen sense of materials, and horological expertise that have defined the Erwin Sattler manufactory for decades.
A timepiece that blends harmoniously into both modern and classic living spaces with its new aesthetic.
You can find another case variant with the new moon phase display here.
